“I didn't think I would get into this game... but what can I say... I am an achiever... give me a level to go after and I will go after. I can't help it. So I find myself grinding away at this... I even put in a little cash to boost my ability to crank out more things faster. It helps a ton.
What ultimately stopped me from playing it longer was two things:
1. It is really hard to get medals.... REALLY hard. So after a certain point it is near impossible to level up and get access to managing more towns, which you really need to do in order to grow your resources.
2. At some point you will have more citizens and army in your town than you can feed, so you have to continually monitor your food levels. If they drop to zero, people start to leave until the population drops to a sustainable place. This happened to me and I lost weeks worth of army and population. That is ultimately what made me stop playing.
If you are into level building like me... grinding toward some magic number... I highly suggest you check out this passively addictive web game. I had a lot of fun with it. Had to put in a little cash so that I could rise fast enough, but the money spent was worth it. I had a ton of fun... but all good things come to an end.
